Hey guys, I’ve been having this problem lately.
I dont really know why but I just can run a Custom Project for TWO minutes. (see attached)
I’m working with an AMD Ryzen 9 with 32 GB of RAM, and I can’t Build Strategies for more than 2 minutes, which is frustrating.
My configuration is the one that comes with the SQx by default, I tried getting more RAM and lowering the CPU cores, so my machine is more relaxed.
I lowered the number of islands as well, but even though, I can’t get this program working for more than two minutes.
The heap memory goes brrrr and gets high as a pot smoker, and then it protects.
Can anyone help me out?
Please?

Hello,
can you share the builder configuration or the project you run?
Do you use the latest version SQX 143?

Hi Tomas, I tweaked around and I found my optimal configuration is Letting Java Decide the Garbage Collector Method, running it every 10 minutes and reducing the available cores to the half of the available and giving 10gb of spare RAM.
I also unchecked the GPU Acceleration.
Seems that now is working fine, and I’m running 4 instances of custom projects to see if it can handle it. Seems right now.
I’m currently using 142 build, since I found 143 to be more resources demanding, maybe I’m wrong but that’s working for me at the moment!

Hi,
What are your maximum memory settings? From your screenshot, I can see that peak memory usage stopped at around the middle between 7.6GB and 5.9GB.(7.6 + 5.9) / 2 = 6.75
If your memory protection is set to 85%, it looks like the maximum memory usage is set to 8GB.8 × 0.85 = 6.8
If this is the case, you might want to change the maximum memory usage to 32GB.
