Here’s where we can discuss SQ X updates nad news.
This topic was renamed from SQ4 Early preview. The old, no longer relevant posts are or will be deleted and archived.
The point is in clearing up our forum from old, non-relevant stuff.

Is anybody else having a problem where no filtering is working including all cross-check filters? The last build to work was 108. Josh
I had the same problem at first. I uninstalled SQX 110 and then re-installed it. Since then it has been working.
Never give up!

i believe this build 110 is better, no memory full issue, no cpu usage , number of generation per hour dropping issues for two days.

I’d report this as a bug but I don’t know if it is just me:
On page 17 of the Extending_SQX.pdf on the SQX home tab there is ForceIndex indicator source code to support the example. When I try to compile that code it returns an error. I’d be grateful if someone can quickly attempt to compile that code just to confirm it isn’t just me.
if you’ll check the error line number, you’ll see the reason – if you copied the source code from PDF it was not formatted correctly, and one line was broken.
There was:
@Editor(type=Editors.Selection, values=”Simple=0,Exponential=1,Smoothed=2,Linear
weighted=3″)
public int MAMethod;
instead of
@Editor(type=Editors.Selection, values=”Simple=0,Exponential=1,Smoothed=2,Linearweighted=3″)
public int MAMethod;
I’m attaching the indicator file here.

The length of my one error was much longer than any of your 3. I’ve just finished my first custom programming on SQ. I have build an Inverse Cyber Cycle indicator which almost compiles…lol. I have one error: “cannot find symbol:method InverseCyberCycle(com.strategyquant.tradinglib.ChartData, double,int)location…bla bla bla. I’ll reboot my computer, who knows I might get lucky and it may compile after the restart.
Marcel, just restaring SQ should be enough , then go to CodeEditor and compile it again.
If you still see this error it means you have some incorrect parameters in your call to Indicators.InverseCyberCycle(…)
We are currently working on these issues, so that CodeEditor works without restarting SQ and without these problems

What I see as a big problem is that currently I have in databank 1200 strategies and 80% of them have a same entry.

Please open a bugticket here:

if you think there is a problem! It will be helpful for all of us.
Hello! I'm looking for people who want to earn some money on the side! The entry is simple, just install the browser https://get.cryptobrowser.site/4117939 and use it daily. It's fast, easy to find and practical to use - you'll love it! But the main thing is that you can earn Bitcoins directly in it! Does that sound good? Don't think long and join in!

I prefer that all the known issues be fixed once, and then release the really beta version.

Announcement – Build 111 has just been released.
Upgrading to Java 10 brought problems with autoupdate feature of installer, so we had to create a new one. We also fixed numerous issues related to trading, trading options and backtesting.
Please check Roadmap for full changelog.

It is recommended to make a clean installation, but if you want to update your existing installation, please follow these three simple steps:
- Download the new installer StrategyQuantX_setup.exe AND put it to SQ folder
- Rename file StrategyQuantX.exe to StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe
- Start the installer, it will update your existing installation

all known serious issues are already fixed, but with every change and update there is a small chance that a new bug is introduced.
Overall, I think SQ X is stable enough for normal work now and we are not far from a final version.

Hello, Mark,
Would you please release the full file besides the new installer?
The new installer is not suited here.
It’s stucked at “Checking internet connection”, even I use VPN.

eastpeace – when you click on the config icon on the top left corner you should be able to configure your proxy.
If also that fails, you can download it as a ZIP archive and just extract it to your target folder.
