Here’s where we can discuss SQ X updates nad news.

The point is in clearing up our forum from old, non-relevant stuff.

Mark – I am kind of lost in WFM right now.  What should we be doing with: WF Result, or WF Stability, WF Score, and WF Special?

Hi,

Trying to generate random strategies, however all get dismissed with Global Condition : 200000

What is this?  I only have two filters on so what is this global condition that rejects 100% of strategies generated?

mikeyc: I get that alot as well. If i restart SQx it is gone but can come back later. I thought it might be just a code to pick the text in a library for the crosscheck. And when the library do not answer it prints the code.

Quick question regarding SQX, is it possible to have more than one open position open at a time?  I know this was something discussed in the past, so that long periods of drawdown on an open position don’t prevent other positions being opened?

Hi guys, I’d like to announce that a final verson of StrategyQuant X will be released on Monday 15 Oct.

We will do our best to fix all the big priority problems, we’ll probably not add any more new functionality for now until it is released.

It doesn’t mean new SQ X will be completel bug free, no software is. But there should be no blocking bugs that would prevent its use.

SQ X contains major feature improvements over SQ3, and it should be already available to all teh users.

it is planned, but it is not implemented yet. We will work on it after the final version, among other priorities.

please check the Users guide, there is an article about WFM. But you can also reset settings to default, these are the “recommended” settings.

Hi Mark,

Question about trailing activation building block, what does this do? It only has one parameter value, I would have thought there would be two, one for the activation level (number of pips in profit before trailing begins), and one for the trailing level (how many pips to trail the SL).

Clearly this building block must do something I don’t understand, can you please explain how it works?

Hi Mark,

I am fully with you on the final release. Sure, there are many bugs to fix and you guys are fully at it, but releasing it means a hugely increased user-base and hence even more bug reports 🙂 So overall, this should lead to SQX becoming fully stable even more quick. Go for it and thanks for the dedicated work, this thing is a MONSTER 🙂

Thanks for all the hardwork Mark, there appears to be quite a few issues around the improver and also the optimiser, I would suggest releasing the first full release to the wider world once some of these big bugs in the task list are fixed, to avoid too many angry paying customers.

Perhaps give it one or two more beta releases first…

I totally agree with mikeyc, not ready for the final release yet.

the final release includes the workable algowizard? i found it is not ready in X111, the condition copy /paste is a must feature, which i requested couple of times, otherwise I cant edit the repeating conditions.
