Here’s where we can discuss SQ X updates nad news.
This topic was renamed from SQ4 Early preview. The old, no longer relevant posts are or will be deleted and archived.
The point is in clearing up our forum from old, non-relevant stuff.

I like that, too. MC/TS platform support will be needed. And real portfolio test is good.

yes, EasyLanguage for MultiCharts / Tradestation will be a part of the new release, for now in beta version state.
We made a big progress with SQ3 vs SQ X differences, most of them should be solved now.
Mike – Trailing activation works in connection to Traling Stop, in activation you can configure when to activate TS, and in TS you specify the stop to be used.
Nicola – replace pending orders is in the order config itself, it is true by default.
Tomorrow – Monday 15th – around midnight CET we’ll make oudate of our website and release the new version. Our web might be locked for maintenance for some time while we are doing this.

Hello everybody,
do you know what I need to set if I want to know the RET/DD factor from a test where I skip 20% of the trades AND test the historical data with 20% probability and 30% changes?
I don’t know what I have to set under “view” so SQ does both in one test and I see the RET/DD
Hello! I'm looking for people who want to earn some money on the side! The entry is simple, just install the browser https://get.cryptobrowser.site/4117939 and use it daily. It's fast, easy to find and practical to use - you'll love it! But the main thing is that you can earn Bitcoins directly in it! Does that sound good? Don't think long and join in!

I’m running with the latest build 111 and it keeps crashing after some time. Running on a laptop with 64 Gb memory and a core i7-6700K on Windows 2016 Server. Error log attached.

if I understand correctly you want to see Ret/DD for data from these two Monte Carlo cross checks.
You should add two Return/DD Ratio columns to view, then double click on each to configure it and there is an option “From backtest”. There you’ll choose first or second Monte Carlo test + confidence level for the result. Then you’ll see values from MC tests.

could you please open a bug for this and attach your log file there?
We will upgrade to latest Java 11 in the new release, so hopefully it will solve some crashes which might have been caused by some older bug in Java.

Hello
I wanted to have some clarifications about the compatibility between SQ3 and SQ4
This is the strategy created with SQ3 which is confirmed by the backtest with Mt4

when I try to do the retest with SQ4 (after clicking on “Apply strategy config”) this is the result

if I try to change the setting manually to try and make it equal to the one done with Sq3 I get this

This happens to me for all the strategies I have created with SQ3!! . I assume it is a compatibility problem
It’s normal? where am I wrong?
Thanks

paolosurf72 – we fixed all the reasons for differences between SQ3 and SQ X in the latest release that will be released later today. Please check it again with the new build when it will be available and if you still experience it open a bug ticket about it.
We’ll definitely look at it.

Hi,
Could anyone load here the xml file of a working workflow? I am starting to test SQX and I am not sure the settings and filters will do the work I was doing manually from the standard workflow of the ebook?
Also how is the final SQX version going to be published, will we receive an email, will be updated to be downloaded in the web?
Thanks

there is an example custom project in the SQ X after installation, you can look at it

@paolosurf72
Hi paolosurf72, It makes sense that you test more different EAs and if the backtest is different you can write a bug report. But I think it is better to wait for the release version.

In a short first test the Build 112 looks fine.
This is a significant improvement. I backtested some of my old 3.8.2 strategies.

Mark, what is the equivalent in SQX of RET/MAX DD Robustness test so I can use it for filtering them in the automated workflow.
Thx

Each of the robustness tests computed its own Return/DD value – Monte Carlo computed it for every confidence level, Retest with higher precision computes it – you have to choose which cross check you want to use in column editation.
