haha yes 100% bug free isn’t possible. MS Word has bugs…

I see some people here are already running SQ4 – can you please let me know where to download it? I’m still on 3.8.

Mark –  noticed you mentioned above you will be releasing SQ4 RC4 today, is that still the plan?

Automatic updater should also finally work, so RC3 should be updated to RC4.

RC4 is mainly bugfix and stability release, we improved several things that should make program more stable and also faster.

RC4 looks better.

I must admit, I was looking forward to new release for obvious reasons. It’s miles better than previous version.
But I feel like there was a major lack in regression testing. There are number of really breaking changes making the software unusable. Currently logging more issues.

I do believe this could have been prevented with regression testing.

there are not so much tester, we are the tester 🙂

The easiest way is that we all test the software and find bugs.

For regressionstest the sq4.0 is too big and complex.

I can’t see in the roadmap the export of the strategies in easy language. Will sq4 support it?

MONTHLY DRAWDOWN FOR INDIVIDUAL STRATEGY AND PORTFOLIO

This idea makes sense to me and I think it will help make StrategyQuant better in my opinion..Strategyquant shows us the drawdown for a test period which is great but I think it will even be better if StrategyQuant can show us the monthly drawdown or the average monthly drawdown both in $ and %  for individual strategies and also for portfolio of strategies.This way we can know the monthly drawdown to expect for our strategy and portfolio.Thank you Mark Fric and your development team for the great deal of work you have put into making StrategyQuant the best tool in the market.GREEN PIPS TO YOU GOOD SIR.

New member here, just getting used to the RC4.  Really like this software.  I’m wondering if the developers have ever considered supporting GPU use instead of just CPU for strategy generation?

Can you add custom indicators to the building blocks like you can custom data in 3.8.2? If so, how? i’ve consulted the manual to no avail, and i’m tearing my hair out

I think it will be great to have a feature in strategyquant to backtest compounding of profits..I will be great to see how our strategies would have performed if we had compounded the profits.Albert Einstein declared that compound interest is the most powerful force in the world.Why not benefit from this as traders?I think you would all agree with me that compounding profits can grow an account exponentially than anything else..Mark I hope you consider this idea and implement it into the new strategyquant because I think most traders will love this compounding feature in StrategyQuant. One idea for the compounding is to increase the lot size when the account is doubled.For example,if $10,000 account is being traded with 0.1 lots and the $10,000 doubles to $20,000 , then start compounding by increasing the lot size to 0.2 in the $20,000 account balance.Am quite sure you guys have some ideas for compounding.$40,000=0.4 lots ,    $80,000=0.8 lots    , $160,000 =1.6lots and on and on the account grows exponentially.
