StrategyQuant X is a standalone desktop application (EXE format) designed for Microsoft Windows systems. It is not an Expert Advisor (EA) and does not run within trading platforms. The application requires an internet connection and operates on standard computing environments.

Minimum System Requirements

To install and run StrategyQuant X, your system should meet the following baseline specifications:

• Processor: Dual-core 2 GHz (minimum)
• Memory (RAM): 8 GB (minimum)
• Storage: 50 GB of free disk space
• Operating System:
  • Windows 7 (64-bit) or newer
  • macOS (requires Rosetta for M1/M2 processors)
  • Linux (via compatible Java Runtime Environment)

Hardware Performance Considerations

StrategyQuant X performs complex computational tasks such as strategy generation, backtesting, and robustness analysis.

These operations are resource-intensive and are optimized for multi-threaded execution.

The more computational power your machine has, the better StrategyQuant X will perform.

Key hardware components influencing performance:

• CPU: The most critical factor. StrategyQuant X can utilize all available CPU cores for parallel processing. Multi-core processors (e.g., Intel i5/i7, AMD Ryzen) offer substantial performance benefits.
• RAM: A higher amount of memory allows more efficient data handling, especially during large-scale simulations.
• Disk Speed: SSDs are recommended over HDDs for faster read/write operations, which impact data access and strategy processing speeds.

macOS Compatibility

On Apple Silicon devices (M1, M2), Rosetta is required to run StrategyQuant X. If not pre-installed, macOS will prompt you to install Rosetta during the first application launch.

VPS Usage Warning

Importante: Using StrategyQuant X on Virtual Private Servers (VPS) is not recommended.

This is due to the following reasons:

• VPS environments often allocate resources dynamically, which can conflict with how StrategyQuant X operates.
• StrategyQuant X runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and initializes resource allocation at startup, expecting dedicated and stable system resources.

To ensure optimal performance and reliability, use StrategyQuant X on a local machine/server or a dedicated server.
